Private Sector Partnerships

We welcome projects from industry sponsors whose required tasks match our expertise. These may be projects which are outside of your core R&D focus or may involve exploratory experiments with your existing product lines. The scope and timelines for these projects are determined on a contract-by-contract basis and can be staged to be contingent on certain milestones.

The arrangements for the intellectual property generated from these projects is determined up front, with agreements ranging from shared ownership to 100% company-owned. There is an opportunity for these projects to provide some matching money, both through the C20/20 funds and other available grants.

There is a host of unique equipment and expertise available at McMaster University and the University of Waterloo. We welcome fee for service work, which may include specific testing, characterization or in vivo modelling. This work would be done using industry-provided products, and the scope and timelines for this work will be developed on a project-by-project basis.
